Dr Aaron Brown - Trouw Nutrition Technical Sales Manager
Technical Sales Manager for Young Animal Feeds in the Atlantic region. Joined Trouw Ireland in 2022, providing technical support to customers and farmers on pre-weaned youngstock nutrition and management after having completed a PhD in Calf Housing and Nutritional management at QUB/AFBI.
Katie Tiernan - Trouw Nutrition Calf Specialist
Growing up on a tillage and dairy farm in County Louth, Katie Tiernan was always surrounded by and fascinated in calf rearing.
Having followed her passion for the subject through her studies and obtaining a master’s degree in calf health and nutrition, Katie travels across Ireland each week trouble shooting with farmers, sharing her expertise on how to approach nutrition for a calf from birth onwards.
Georgina Thomas - Trouw Nutrition Technical Sales Manager Europe
Georgina is the Technical Sales Manager for Young Animal Feed for Europe and Central Asia, working for Trouw Nutrition. Georgina graduated from the University of Nottingham before entering the feed industry to work as a ruminant nutritionist. Georgina has developed a passion for early life nutrition and now has a focus on the development and formulation of milk replacers for young calves. Georgina works to translate cutting edge science and research into practical on farm solutions that help to elevate calf performance to the next level.
Dr. Ryan Davies - SCCL Veterinary Consultant
Dr. Ryan Davies spent 21 years in farm animal clinical practice before starting his own consultation company, VTC Ltd, targeting preventative health medicine and the reduction in the use of antibiotics in farm animals. He provides Veterinary technical consultation services to SCCL, a recent highlight in his career was presenting in 2024 as a keynote speaker at the World Buiatrics Congress in Cancun, Mexico. He is currently undertaking a study into the supplementation of passive immunity and the definition of transition milk feeding in a pasture based, spring calving dairy herd, which was partly funded by Farming Connect.
